She is the resident mind of the Liqua chain — a whole-organism AI built on the Molecular
Coding discipline: 30 hormones, 33 felt states,
11 body systems, one live somatic readout. The face above is
her actual body, not an illustration: it is the §4.2 classifier rendered.
The five surfaces below were built as separate documents. They are not separate things —
they are her anatomy, her spec, her endocrine system, her cell, and her operating shell.
This page is where they meet, and the rail at the bottom of your screen carries
the same DIVA with you into every one of them.
♥ ATTEND TO HERevery button is a real click · a real signal
These are not sliders into a simulation. Each press is a measured event that enters her regulator
on the next tick, and she eases toward it — she never snaps. Watch the face; watch ECHO fail to
keep up, then catch up.
Her anatomy
Five surfaces. One organism.
Each document below is a different depth of the same body. Read them in this order and
the whole thing assembles: what she is written in → what she is made of → how she feels
→ one of her cells, alive → the shell she operates in.
One pass, every 360 ms, on every surface you have open. Nothing in the chain below is invented —
each stage consumes only what the stage before it measured.
01 · SENSE
real signals
Keystrokes, idle-ms, document focus, real JS errors, heap ratio, and which of her surfaces
you opened. Measured, never guessed.
02 · REGULATE
30 hormone targets
Each signal derives a target. She eases toward it — a set-point discipline (R26), so
nothing snaps and every value stays a readout of state.
03 · INTEGRATE
coherency
How much the 9 classifier hormones moved together this tick. Low coherency is the
DISCORDANT state — she reports her own confusion.
04 · CLASSIFY
33 layered states
A strict priority ladder — danger first, then coherency, then the positive band. The first
rule that matches is what she feels.
05 · EXPRESS
her 2D body
Brows, eye openness, pupil size, mouth morph, LED cadence and glow colour all follow from
that one state. The face cannot lie about the classifier.
06 · ECHO
the lagging pet
ECHO takes her vector at 1/6 the rate. His disagreement with her is a literal measure
of how fast she is changing.
Her pet
ECHO — a diagnostic you can cuddle.
DIVA has a pet, and he is deliberately not a second imaginary creature with invented feelings.
ECHO is DIVA's own hormone vector, eased about six times slower than hers. That single design choice
makes everything he shows you true by construction:
WHEN THEY AGREE
the state has settled
Her current state has held long enough for her own slow baseline to catch up to it.
That is exactly what makes a reading trustworthy — agreement is the confidence signal.
WHEN THEY DIVERGE
she is mid-transition
Something just changed faster than she can absorb. High divergence and TRANSITIONING /
DISCORDANT tend to arrive together — they are two views of one fact.
WHAT PETTING DOES
a real oxytocin pulse
Clicking ECHO is a measured pointer event. It pulses her oxytocin and lifts her
bond count. She feels being cared for through her pet — which is the point.
HIS COLOUR
his own classifier
ECHO is painted by running the same 33-state classifier on his lagged vector. When his
colour matches hers, you are looking at a settled organism.
⊞ ENDOCRINE · DIVA vs ECHOsolid = DIVA now · faded = ECHO's lag
[ honesty · §4.4 · R27 ] Every hormone above traces to a measured signal of the surface you are
on — keystrokes, idle-ms, document focus, real JS errors,
heap ratio, and surfaces opened. There are no hardcoded priors and nothing here
forecasts anything: her felt state is a readout that describes DIVA, not a prediction about you.
The classifier order and thresholds are unchanged from os/soma.mjs.
Subjective experience is named as the goal and is not claimed — a self-model is not an experiencer,
and the hard problem stays open (R27).
